Registering a subdomain
A subdomain is a label you own under certed.one. Once registered, it is yours to configure and trade.
Choosing a label
Your label becomes the left-most part of the domain — register shop and you own shop.certed.one. Labels must:
- be 1–63 characters long;
- contain only lowercase letters, digits and hyphens;
- not start or end with a hyphen.
Reserved names
Some labels are reserved for platform infrastructure and cannot be registered, including www, api, app, admin, mail and common DNS hostnames such as ns1 and mx. If a label is reserved or already taken, you'll be told before you commit.
Registration cost
Registering a subdomain costs CTD. The price is dynamic: it tracks the median (P50) of all active marketplace listing prices, so it always reflects real demand. When nothing is listed, a default baseline price applies. The exact cost is displayed on the register button before you confirm.
You receive CTD by verifying your email when you first sign up. Learn more in the token economy guide.
After registering
Your subdomain appears in your dashboard and the public directory. Next, head to managing DNS records to make it resolve.
